2025 Wedding Trends We Love to See

Writer: TiaraTiara

As a wedding photographer, I’m always keeping an eye out for new trends that brides and grooms are embracing. And let me tell you, the trends for 2025 and 2026 are all about making your wedding day personal and unforgettable, to the point that the event is an extension of the Bride + Grooms personalities. Whether you're going for bold colours, sustainable décor, or vintage touches, there’s so much to look forward to. Here are some exciting wedding trends I’m loving right now!

1. Sculptural and Sustainable Centrepieces

The shift towards sustainability is strong in 2025 weddings, and one of my favorite trends is sculptural centrepieces. Couples are opting to forgo toxic floral foam, and instead choosing beautiful, organic designs made with sustainable practices, showcasing creative shapes and textures. These arrangements often incorporate natural elements like fruits, greenery, and locally sourced flowers, providing both an artistic touch and an eco-friendly vibe.

I love capturing the intricate details which can really add an extra layer of creativity to the photos, and the best part is they make for great conversation starters with your guests!

2. Bold Drapery

Drapery is making a big return in 2025 weddings. Think of flowing fabric that transforms your venue into a lush, intimate space. Whether it’s soft, sheer curtains or rich velvet backdrops, drapery adds a touch of luxury and drama to any wedding.

As a photographer, I love how drapery enhances the mood of a wedding. It gives me the chance to play with light and shadows, creating beautifully dramatic shots. If you’re thinking about incorporating drapery, it makes for some amazing photos that will truly stand out in your wedding album.

3. Vintage Romance

There’s something so charming about the vintage wedding trend that keeps making a comeback. From mismatched china to antique lace, couples are opting for nostalgic, romantic elements that add character and warmth to their wedding.

I always make sure to capture those small, meaningful details, whether it’s an heirloom item or a piece of décor with personal significance. These details help tell your story, and I love focusing on them.

4. Digital and Eco-Friendly Wedding Invitations

Wedding invitations are going digital, and it’s a trend I’m totally on board with. Obviously I do love a classic invitation suite flat lay, but not only are digital invitations more sustainable, they allow couples to be super creative with their designs and, they’re incredibly easy to share, making it simple for guests to RSVP and keep up with your wedding details.

When it comes to your wedding day, eco-friendly choices don’t just stop at invitations. I love it when couples go the extra mile to reduce their environmental impact, and these thoughtful touches make their wedding day feel all the more special.

5. Bold and Layered Color Palettes

Gone are the days of traditional wedding colour schemes. In 2025, bold colour palettes are making their mark. From rich jewel tones to soft pastels mixed with deep blues and purples, couples are going all in on vibrant colours that reflect their personalities and passions.

As a wedding photographer, I really love how these bold colours pop in photos. They create such dynamic visuals, whether it's in your bouquet, your bridesmaid dresses, or your reception décor.

6. Statement Wedding Cakes

If you’re someone who loves bold desserts, you’re going to love the wedding cake trends in 2025. Couples are opting for towering, sculptural cakes that are true works of art. These cakes come in all shapes and sizes, adorned with floral arrangements, classic piping, geometric patterns, bold colours and other stunning details.

I have to say, I love seeing a fun, bold wedding cake! They not only look gorgeous but also make for some fun moments during the cake cutting.

7. Personalized and Unique Experiences for Guests

One of the most exciting trends I’m seeing for 2025 and 2026 weddings is the focus on creating personalized experiences for guests. From custom wedding favors to interactive portrait booths, couples are finding unique ways to engage their loved ones and make their wedding day unforgettable.

I love helping couples incorporate these fun, personal touches into their wedding day. Whether it’s a special photo op or a unique guestbook experience, I’m always excited to see how these creative ideas translate into beautiful photos. These details help capture the true spirit of your day!

All in All

2025 and 2026 weddings are all about embracing personalization, sustainability, and bold creativity. Whether you’re drawn to the vintage charm, eco-conscious décor, or vibrant color palettes, there’s no shortage of inspiration for your wedding day. And as your photographer, I’m here to help capture every moment, making sure that every trend and detail is beautifully documented for you to treasure forever.
